Baarishon ka mahina tha

Kuch khwaishon ka sama suna suna tha

Tadapti thi zami ek Suraj ki kiran paane ko

Armaano ke ankur ka andhere mein basera tha

 

Jaane kahan gaye wo natkhat se pal

Wo khilkhilate masoom se nazaare

Wo bewajah doston ke sang tafree

Wo late night long drive and aasmaa mein taare

 

Jahaan dekho khaamoshi ka rama hai

Sthir padi hai pattiyon ki bhi sarsarahat

Har shakhs apne gharonde mein chupa hai

Har ek apne kabra se daraa hai

 

Band hai maikhaane band hai paryatan

Band hai karyalaya band hai apno ke ghar

Bandish mein hai hamare kharche

Bandhi hui hai sabki aamdani bhi idar

 

Dikhawe ke naam pe designer mask pehen liya

Government ne diye jalwa liye aur taali bajwa li

Hospitals & corporates emergency ke naam pe loot rahe

Police aur traffic hawaldaar ne bhi behti ganga mein haanth dho li

 

Duaaon mein maangte hain phirse pehle wala normal

Ho jaayein sab healthy na rahe koi fikar

Bas bahut ho gaya chipna chipana

Ab na saha jaaye ye mayusi wala aaj kal

Pyaar ki saap seedhi
